ESEA Premier Recap Weeks 4-6 - Extra Salt and paiN secure playoffs following flawless seasons

The top eight teams are finalised as ESEA Premier Season 39 heads into the playoffs.

The final three weeks of ESEA Premier Season 39 have passed, with both Extra Salt and paiN showing stellar form to finish the regular part of the season undefeated, with a massive 22 series being played in the sixth week.

paiN’s 2-0 victory over Big Chillin in week four would see the start of a seven-win tear versus the rest of the competition in Group A to allow the side to cruise into the playoffs unbeaten whilst Extra Salt returned from their stint in Europe to mirror the Brazilians' exceptional form, winning five games in weeks five and six to also finish the season undefeated.

Elsewhere, Group A proved to be a difficult group to separate as victories for Triumph, ChocoCheck and Bad News Bears allowed the three teams to guarantee playoff berths after posting six wins each.

Meanwhile, Eros, ONET4P and Northern Forces each finished 3-5 in the regular season to end the season in fourth, fifth and sixth place respectively. ONET4P will be facing off against Group B's 6th place, voLante, in the 11th place decider which will see the loser fall into ESEA Season 39 Relegation.

Over in Group B, the top four teams were more seperable with oNe securing second place following a four game win-streak across the final three weeks to finish the regular season 7-1, with Party Astronauts and RBG claiming the third and fourth spot.

However, should Big Chillin wish to avoid relegation to ESEA Advanced in Season 40, the squad will need to best Detonate in the 15th place decider after a defeat to Eros and a FFL to ChocoCheck in week six saw the team finish 1-7 in Group A.

On the other hand, the ATK roster managed to post two wins and two losses since the addition of Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz, seeing the South African/American squad survive Detonate 2-1 in their final game of week six to see themselves remain in ESEA Premier Season 40, ending up fifth in Group B and narrowly avoiding the previously mentioned 11th place tie-break.
