Complexity claim YaLLa Compass 2024 invite

Fresh off their semifinal finish at ESL Pro League Season 19, Complexity have been invited to YaLLa Compass 2024 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The event takes place from June 5th through June 9th and also features teams like HEROIC, Eternal Fire, Astralis, and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

HLTV is reporting that NIP earned an invite to the event through the Middle East & North African slot despite being a Swedish-majority squad and primarily headquartered in Europe. In the announcement post, the organizer alludes to NIP's newest headquarters in Abu Dhabi which they might use as justification for the spot.

Complexity will join fellow Americas squad FURIA at the event, however the two teams are on polar ends of form right now. FURIA is in a state of flux after announcing the departure of Andrei "arT" Piovezan to Fluxo and coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira is moving into a different role in the organization. The Americans, meanwhile, are red-hot following their showing in Malta and will look to improve upon that showing for their next upcoming events.

The BO1 round-robin tournament will split twelve teams into two groups, with the winners of each group directly advancing to the semifinals while second and third place teams will compete in the quarterfinals. The $400,000 tournament features some of the top teams in the world at the moment, but still have two invites left to distribute.
