Triumph and paiN advance to the semifinals of ESEA Spring Cash Cup 4

The two sides defeated CarbonX and Third Impact to advance, respectively.

ESEA's fourth iteration of the Spring Cash Cup series is set to resume at 4PM EDT with paiN taking on Recon 5 while Bad News Bears match up with Triumph. Also of note, Dust2.us' very own Danish "Nohte" Allana has secured an HLTV player profile as a substitute for Triumph in their match against CarbonX.

A number of Premier sides were in action during yesterday's qualifier, including Rise, Third Impact, Secret Club featuring Nicholas "hate" Young, and of course Triumph. There were also two stacks that featured a number of Premier players, Green Tea Party and bron's bang bros.

Rise were eliminated by bron's bang bros on Inferno, while Secret Club were dealt a decisive 16-8 loss by CarbonX. Green Tea Party's run was halted by Third Impact, as was the run made by bron's bang bros in double overtime.

paiN encountered Third Impact in their final match of yesterday evening, where they converted a 9-6 first half lead into a comfortable 16-12 victory. Wesley "hardzao" Lopes led all players with 28 kills, while both Brennan "grape" Greer and Walker "walker" Harris finished with 20 frags for Third Impact in the loss.

In the other qualifying match Triumph decisively bullied CarbonX on their T-side of Nuke, where they posted a 13-2 scoreline by the break. That cushion allowed Nohte to make an appearance in which he nearly found a submachine gun kill near double doors on the lower bombsite. Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman led the way for Triumph with 24 kills and a 2.01 rating, while CarbonX were led by Silas "silas" Marrufo's 12 kills in the loss.
