Mythic fall to Wildcard; M80 bounce back | ECL S47 Roundup Day 12

M80 are back to winning ways after a tough start to the season, while Party Astronauts managed to bounce back from a 2-0 loss the day before. BOSS continues to be at the bottom of the standings despite a map win over One More. It was the team's last match with Brett "Brett" Rhein, as Justin "FaNg" Coakley takes his place.

M80 2-0 Take Flyte

This was a quick series, even with M80 fielding Elias "s1n" Stein, the team's IGL, all the way from Europe, and Bobby "stamina" Eitrem standing in for Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich. The first map ended 13-0 after a 12-0 CT-side on Mirage.

Overpass would be a little bit more competitive as Take Flyte were able to win five total rounds, but M80 still managed to win the map comfortably with a 13-5 score. stamina showed that he is still very much able to compete at this level as he was near the top of the fragging list on both maps.

Wildcard 2-0 Mythic

Wildcard is starting its trend of 13-4 map wins, as it has been three maps in a row this has happened. After the 13-4 win over LAG the day before, Wildcard would go on to Vertigo to beat Mythic 13-4 after a 9-3 T-side half with Josh "JBa" Barutt leading the charge.

On Mirage, the score would be the same, with Mythic winning all four rounds on the T-side, as Wildcard went on to win a flawless 5-0 T-side later, claiming the map win 13-4.

Limitless 2-0 MIGHT

Limitless managed to double their win tally with these two maps against MIGHT, who have been struggling lately. The series started on Anubis with Limitless claiming a 7-5 CT-side, followed up with an impressive 6-1 T-side half to win the map 13-6.

Ancient was not one-sided, not at all. Both T-sides were very prolific with the two teams winning 8 rounds on the offense which means overtime. Once there, Limitless managed to stop MIGHT's attacks and win the map 16-12.

Party Astronauts 2-0 Carpe Diem

Party Astronauts are back on winning ways after dropping two losses against Nouns, but it was a close two-map series against Carpe Diem. Despite trailing 5-7 going into the CT-side of Inferno, PA almost completely shut down Carpe Diem who were only able to win a single round during the second half.

Going over to Overpass, Carpe Diem continued to struggle on the T-side only posting up two rounds at the end of the half. Party Astronauts started to give away some rounds but managed to close the map 13-7.

BOSS 1-1 One More

BOSS and One More played the closest series of the day. Anubis went One More's way after 24 rounds and BOSS won Mirage in 23 rounds. Roles were reversed though, as Anubis saw better CT-sides than T-sides and Mirage was the opposite.

Anubis would see BOSS start with a 7-5 CT-side lead but One More would one-up their opponents with an 8-4 half to claim the 13-11 win. One More would start Mirage with an 8-4 T-side lead, but BOSS reversed the roles as they claimed the 13-10 win.

Nouns 1-1 NRG

The teams split this series as Nouns won Nuke 13-9 and NRG claimed Mirage after two overtimes. The first map would see Nouns starting on the CT-side and opening an 8-4 lead at the half. The CT-side from NRG wasn't able to keep up with the pace of the game and Nouns would come out victorious.

Another map, another 8-4 CT-side half, in fact, halves. Proving the balance between the two teams, Mirage would see NRG and Nouns tied at the end of regulation and even after the first overtime. NRG would prevail in the second OT as they claimed the 19-16 win.
