ACADME Esports announces $5,000 CAD tournament with finals in Western Canada

The organizer is currently gauging interest in a CS2 tournament.

Western Canadian tournament organizer ACADME Esports have announced plans to potentially host a $5,000 CAD CS2 tournament with a LAN finals in Western Canada. While the event is still in its early planning stages, the tournament organizer have released a Google form as they look to gauge interest in hosting a Counter-Strike 2 alongside their other esports titles.

ACADME Esports is a tournament organizer with a focus on collegiate esports operated and funded by Memory Express, a Canadian retailer akin to Micro Center in the United States. Founded in 2021, they have run tournaments in a variety of games including CS:GO. Their current plans may be the most ambitious however, as their plans include running an up-to 64 team event with a LAN grand finals in an arena that can hold up to 10,000 people. The online portion of the event will be played out on FACEIT, while the LAN grand finals have something more in store.

While the location of the event has not been confirmed in Western Canada, the top two teams would seemingly be flown out to the city and have their expenses paid before they take the stage to compete in the arena. The online stage of the event is currently to run from May 19th to May 26th while the LAN will be played on June 15th.

Team interested in competing can fill out the Google Form here, with the event being open to American and Canadian residents.
