America is only 46% successful in 2-2 matches

Nobody wants to be here. This isn't a fun time for anyone. America is fighting for their qualification lives in the 2-2 matches as Complexity have blown their spectacular 2-0 start and now must face FaZe in the 2-2 do-or-die match.

North American fans are used to this kind of torturous match, having seen their teams in this position a whopping thirteen times since 2017. The majority of those times have ended in heartbreak, with teams like Cloud9 and Liquid falling at the final hurdle. Only 46% of the time (6/13), American teams have been successful in moving on. The only weird exception is Liquid, who fell in the final 2-2 match at the 2018 ELEAGUE Boston Major, but still advanced due to the necessary replacement qualifier.

Now, not only is Complexity in this position, so is Brazil. paiN will be playing against Natus Vincere as the last match of the day, creating a potentially gutwrenching day for all fans from the region. Should both Complexity and paiN lose, it would be the first time since 2014 that the Americas have not sent a team to the playoffs of a Major.
