Where arT thou FURIA?

What to expect from FURIA v. Legacy

Brazil technically gets their third win of the day.

Well, paiN and Imperial have shocked everyone in Copenhagen this afternoon as the two Brazilian squads have defeated their opponents in the opening matchups. The Americas region remains undefeated so far and that will continue until at least the second round as FURIA and Legacy face off later today. It's a Marcelo "Coldzera" David v. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo battle as the two sides figure out who is the king of Brazil.

FURIA's Finest Form

It's not controversial to say that this FURIA hasn't frightened their opponents as much as in years past. Some question marks remain about the squad's cohesion, but the Americas RMR assuaged some of that when they crushed their opposition en route to a 3-0 qualification.

  • KSCERATO is literally the best player alive

  • FalleN and arT need to work glue, not opposing magnets

  • Chelo's firepower needs to be in tandem with KSCERATO

Legacy is technically Last

Legacy, the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, has a mountain to climb if they hope to avoid going 0-3 so far in this Major, which fans are predicting they will do. The Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato-led team has a wealth of youth and experience at its disposal. The question now is whether it can efficiently use it.

  • Coldzera's step back has pushed everyone forward

  • Can NEKIZ out-IGL arT?

  • latto, dumau, and b4rtin are the killers that Legacy need to activate

Previous Matchups

This Godsent/00Nation/Legacy core has played FURIA five times since 2021, with FURIA coming away the winners all but once - ESL Challenger Valencia 2022. The odds are stacked in FURIA's favor for this one.

Likely Vetoes

Considering that FURIA's map pool doesn't look at strong, they might opt to veto second to take out the best maps from Legacy.

  • Legacy ban Mirage

  • Legacy ban Nuke

  • FURIA ban Anubis

  • FURIA ban Ancient

  • FURIA ban Inferno

  • Legacy ban Ancient

  • Overpass is leftover.

The odds are technically in Legacy's hand here, but FURIA can never be counted out. They don't have a lot of reps right now, but their wins over Complexity and Liquid at the Major are nothing to scoff at and should serve as a warning to everyone else.
