RUSH is back in action after an extended hiatus

RUSH set to return to activity in ESL Challenger Jönköping Qualifier after hiatus

The former EG player is back in action after ten months.

Dust2.us has confirmed that former Evil Geniuses player William "RUSH" Wierzba is set to play the ESL Challenger Jönköping Open Qualifier with Party Astronauts tonight. The decision marks the Majors champion's return to the server after ten months, having been sidelined after the promotion of Evil Geniuses Black to the main EG squad left RUSH without a spot in the starting lineup.

As such, it will also be RUSH's first officials in Counter-Strike 2, as the player has spent the last six months as a performance coach under Mind Body Esports.

RUSH's call up to help Party Astronauts comes after the team lost Colby "Walco" Walsh to NRG as the latter team looked to overhaul their roster following a poor start to 2024. For the moment, RUSH is only a temporary stand-in, with Party Astronaut's coach, Luke "Viathan" Carstens, telling Dust2.us that the team is looking at their options for Walco's replacement.

Party Astronauts will play the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 Open Qualifier with:

United States Ben "ben1337" Smith
United States Connor "chop" Sullivan
United States Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk
United States Adam "WolfY" Andersson
United States William "RUSH" Wierzba (Stand-in)
United States Luke "Viathan" Carstens (Coach)

The ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 Open Qualifier is set to start in short order at 06:00PM tonight.
