FURIA have another shot today

FURIA falls in BLAST CQ opener

It's a small misstep.

FURIA got a second chance at making it to the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown when they were invited to the RES Western European Masters Spring. Placed in a group alongside Apeks, ex-Anonymo, and Metizport, there was the hope that FURIA could make the playoffs comfortably, with Apeks being the most challenging opponent.

It was a rude awakening for the Brazilians, as they fell early this morning to the Swedish team on Ancient.

The match began with FURIA starting on their T-side where they initially found some success, despite losing the opening pistol. The Brazilians were able to come back and string a few rounds together to take a close 4-3 lead. However, Metizport soon ran riot over the Brazilians as they would win the next five rounds to win the first half 8-4.

It didn't get much better for FURIA in the second half as Metizport would win the second pistol of the BO1, putting themselves in prime position to secure the victory. Metizport was too strong for the Brazilians as they would come away with a 13-5 win and sent FURIA to the elimination match against ex-Anonymo.
