castro shifts into Sixth Gear; N1ght gets left in the dust

AAustiN has been benched but remains under contract with Sixth Gear.

Sixth Gear have added Wayne "castro" Einarsson in place of Austin "AAustiN" Urb, after being one of few teams to not make changes to their roster during this past offseason. Their relatively unknown coach, Christian "N1ght" Kilian, has also been relieved of his duties.

When contacted by, Ian "battery" Yates stated that AAustiN's departure was a combination of multiple factors, including schedule incompatibility and a desire for the slot to be filled by a player with more mechanical skill, aim-wise, who could entry and anchor.

He also clarified the contractual situation following this change, noting that AAustiN remains under contract with Sixth Gear and will be officially listed as benched, while castro is not technically under contract at this time and will be trialing with the team during practices and official matches.

Sixth Gear are now:

  • Canada David "J0LZ" Jolin
  • United States Adam "WolfY" Andersson
  • Canada Alex "vek" Voynov
  • Canada Ian "battery" Yates
  • Canada Wayne "castro" Einarsson (Trial)
  • United States Austin "AAustiN" Urb (Inactive)

Sixth Gear are currently 3-2 in ESEA MDL Season 35 and will play their next match tomorrow at 7:15PM EDT against New England Whalers.
