ESEA announce MDL Season 34 Relegation bracket; Ze Pug Godz set to participate in ESEA MDL Season 35

This iteration of relegation features two MDL squads and six Advanced lineups fighting for three spots in the top ESEA division.

ESEA have released the bracket for the ESEA MDL Season 34 Relegation, which is set to begin on August 18th. In other league news, Dust2.us has confirmed that the team that Ze Pug Godz are set to play in ESEA MDL Season 35, returning to the division via a spot that previously belonged to Swole Patrol.

This iteration of relegation only features two lineups from MDL due in part of the large number of squads that disbanded or elected not to play ESEA MDL Season 34. Defending their spots this time around are Colombian lineup Infinity, and Buffdaddy's Paypal Team, though Dust2.us have been informed by ESEA that the latter may drop out despite having eleven eligible players on their roster. The pair are joined by a sextet of Advanced squads, with RBG and Kinship being the highest ranked teams in relegation.

Of the eight teams, three will qualify to ESEA MDL Season 35.

The relegation tournament itself features a double-elimination bracket, with all matches being best-of-three's.

The first-round matches, which are all set to start on August 18th, are as follows:

Infinity vs. United States ImPerium
Canada RBG vs. United States timbermen
United States Thunder Logic vs. United States Kinship
United States Buffdaddy's Paypal Team vs. United States Hyper

Swole Patrol's last season in the league was ESEA MDL Season 33 where they played thirteen matches before being invited to play in ESL Pro League Season 11. The sudden move-up for the team came after plans were shelved to unify the European and North American EPL divisions due to the travel and LAN disruptions brought on by COVID-19.
