ECL teams galore on day two of the Americas RMR NA Open Qualifier #2

The first day of the second Open Qualifier, now without the big sharks of Liquid and NRG, featured many teams from the ECL division making it to the second and last day with hopes of grabbing one of the four remaining spots in the Closed Qualifier.

MIGHT and FLUFFY AIMERS didn't exit early like last time, while Take Flyte suffered a bit but are still alive. Mythic, on the other hand, were eliminated in the round of 32 by FN PRODUCTIONS.

Both Brazilian teams, LOS and E-Xolos Lazer, have now reached the round of 16, although LOS almost didn't survive against bubibabu. The two teams from South America are on opposite sides of the bracket, meaning both of them may make it to the Closed Qualifier.

WICKED have continued showing good form and this time the bracket favored them early, only meeting one well-known team, FlyQuest RED, who have had a couple of recent changes. If WICKED manage to win the match against ViBE, they will face the winning team from the Xiaoma vs. oNe in a Bo3 series for a spot in the Closed Qualifier.

MIGHT have recovered from the #1 Open Qualifier shocker, where they lost to the gamin4fun mix. Yesterday MIGHT beat Shimmer, Hopium, and Zomblers, and now will have to face The Nomads in order to play the qualification series against the winner of Rocket vs. Villainous.

On the other side of the bracket, FLUFFY AIMERS and newly-promoted ECL side Spectre will face each other in the round of 16, hoping to beat either E-Xolos Lazer or Bad News Bricks in the Bo3 game. Both FA and Spectre had solid runs, never feeling like any of the two would not reach day two.

Once again, Mythic didn't reach the second day of the qualifier. After falling to vagrants, who would eventually qualify, on the first OQ, Mythic lost all chances to reach the Closed Qualifier after being defeated by FN PRODUCTIONS 13-10.

Finally, there's a new team mixing things up a bit on the final branch of the bracket. The squad named Cloud 10 features Louis "onter" Contreras, Andrew "Tender" Cote, Saad "Pluto" Siraj, Dwight "Calix" Nguyen, and Khizar "Momo" Rehman, and they have been kicking ass and taking names, as they defeated RUNnGUN 13-1 and had a very comfortable run even after meeting MagicLight, who they beat 13-7. Today, Cloud 10 will face Take Flyte and look like they may just reach the Closed Qualifier.
