Twistzz is expected to become a Liquid player

Report: Liquid reach agreements with roster targets

Inching closer.

Liquid's surprising decision to cut their losses with their European squad is the most talked about roster move of the entire month. The organization shot for the stars when targeting Casper "cadiaN" Møller, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, and bringing back Wilton "zews" Prado as coach of the squad.

Dust2.us first reported weeks ago that the organization had reached verbal agreements with each of the players. Later, skullz was officially released from paiN as he appeared closer and closer to a transfer to the Los Angeles-based organization. As for cadiaN and Twistzz, the two have played under their respective banners while closing out the end of the season, but have likely played their last games under Heroic and FaZe, respectively.

Sources close to the negotiations have told Dust2.us that Liquid have reached contractual agreements with each of the players and new head coach zews with an official announcement expected soon. skullz has already traveled to Europe where he has been spotted playing in FPL matches. For cadiaN and Twistzz, they have finished out the majority of their obligations for the previous teams and are set to join Liquid shortly. Twistzz will not play for FaZe at the upcoming BLAST Premier World Final. Dust2.us reached out to Liquid, however they declined to comment.

Twistzz and zews are expected to return to Liquid, where they worked together from April 2017 through December 2018, before zews departed to MIBR in a swap deal with Epitacio "TACO" de Melo for Jake "Stewie2k" Yip.

Liquid now has a small sense of urgency as the organization will likely need to bootcamp and prepare for the upcoming 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major North American Open Qualifiers, which begin January 8th. The newly formed squad is unlikely to have accumulated any ranking points to earn a direct invite to the Closed Qualifier and will have to grind it out in the open qualifier process. The organization can participate in the North American qualifiers as they will have Twistzz, skullz, and Keith "NAF" Markovic coming from the Americas region.

The organization has already said its farewells to Josh "oSee" Ohm, Damian "daps" Steele, Robert "Patsi" Isyanov, and Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov, with the latter three released of their contractual obligations to Liquid. oSee is currently in negotiations with NRG, as first reported by Dust2.us.

Liquid will finally be:

  • Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic

  • Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis

  • Denmark Casper "cadiaN" Møller

  • Brazil Felipe "skullz" Medeiros

  • Canada Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken

  • Brazil Wilton "zews" Prado (Coach)

as a complete outsider to the industry i also figured that was the only move for them. complexity is pure esports. faze is a lifestyle brand that has esports teams
