NRG complete impossible comeback to win CCT Season 3 NA Series 1

NRG met with Wildcard in the final of the first series of CCT in Season 3. NRG won the final 2-0, but it wasn't without drama in the second map.

Wildcard put themselves one round away from forcing a third map, up 12-1. However, from that point it was quite literally all NRG. NRG came all the way back on Train, winning 15 rounds in a row to defeat Wildcard and win the map and tournament 16-12.

NRG 2-0 Wildcard

Wildcard picked Nuke to begin the series, but it was NRG that took the advantage, taking an 8-4 lead into halftime.

Wildcard picked up some momentum in the second half, winning seven out of eight rounds, bringing the game to an 11-11 tie. However, it was all for nought as NRG won the map's final two rounds to win 13-11

It looked like Wildcard would flip the script on NRG in the second map. Wildcard took an 11-1 lead in the first half of NRG's Train pick.

Wildcard even won the pistol round in the second half to bring the score to 12-1 in their favor. From that point on, they capitulated, as NRG won out, bringing the game to overtime and winning 16-12 to complete the comeback. Nick "nitr0" Cannella and Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott both put up 40 frags in the series to help NRG to the victory.
