Report: Liquid to bring back Twistzz
Several sources close to Liquid have told Dust2.us that the organization is set for a bombshell signing of FaZe's Canadian champion Russell “Twistzz” Van Dulken. The move will see the megastar reunite with Liquid after leaving the organization in 2020 in order to live in Europe. The move and Twistzz's subsequent addition to FaZe ended up being a career-defining success for the Canadian as he would go on to become the sixth NA player to win a Major as well as the only player to win two Intel Grand Slams, doing so under Finn "karrigan" Andersen's leadership.
Twistzz, who is just coming off winning IEM Sydney 2023, was also in talks with Vitality at the same time. However, Dust2.us understands the rifler has decided not to join the European outfit and instead return to the organization where he became an international sensation.
Liquid's decision to target Twistzz comes as the organization has looked to completely overhaul their roster with a number of blockbuster signings. Acquiring Twistzz on his own would be a major coup for the organization, however the team has a number of other options waiting in the wings.
Alongside Twistzz, Liquid have been linked to Heroic's star IGL and AWPer Casper “cadiaN” Moller, Brazilian young phenom Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, and Major-winning veteran coach Wilton "zews" Prado. These moves, which are all inching towards a final agreement will see Liquid look to reassert themselves on the world stage and also return to the Americas region after an ill-fated exodus.
As previously reported, these changes would see North America's best AWPer Josh "oSee" Ohm likely leave Liquid after almost two years, however it must be stressed nothing is set in stone at the moment and no contracts have been signed, although it is understood cadiaN has verbally agreed to join Liquid.
