Cherry Bombs defused

The players have gone their separate ways.

After a tough but unique ESL Impact Season 4 North America experience, Cherry Bombs announced that the team will dissolve due to the professional lives of the players. Two players have full-time occupations and can't practice, while the other two are now looking for a new team.

Cherry Bombs were the last team to qualify for this season's regional stage after being the last team to get eliminated from the prior season's open qualifiers. The squad finished the season in 7th place with just one win over Hyperion. Despite the results, this team has improved greatly since Season 3, and the fact that they were able to qualify is remarkable.

Hailey "Swan" Pflughoft and Chelsea "Chels" Freitas are the two players who have decided to stop committing as much time to Counter-Strike due to one being a full-time nurse and the other being studying to become one, respectively.

Shelby "Shelby" A. was the first to announce she is looking for a new team, while the team's IGL, Ashley "giraffley" Kelly, posted that, while she will focus on her job, she still can play another season of ESL Impact. As for Autumn "Auti" Ruttig, it's still unknown what she will do moving forward.

When contacted by Dust2.us, Cherry Bombs revealed that Swan and Chels are "possibly willing to pug the open qualifiers" but won't be able to practice, most likely. After being questioned about whether this is the end of the Cherry Bombs branding, the team believes it's unlikely but "who knows what the future holds".

Another team that has lost a player is Totsugeki, as Cynthia "katalyyst" Sheerajin announced she is looking for a new team after this ESL Impact season's end.

The Cherry Bombs squad was:

United States Ashley "giraffley"Kelly
United States Hailey "Swan" Pflughoft
Canada Chelsea "Chels" Freitas
Canada Shelby "Shelby" A.
United States Autumn "Auti" Ruttig
