MAC-1 has passed the torch over to wrath to finish the MDL season

MAC-1 announces retirement; Divine set to finish season with wrath

The former Singularity coach played his last series today.

Following Divine's exit from the ESL One Rio Americas Minor North America Closed Qualifier at the hands of Yeah, Jared "MAC-1" Schneider has announced his retirement from CS:GO. Like many semi-professional players in recent weeks, MAC-1 has also announced he will be pursuing Valorant upon its release.

MAC-1 will be most remembered for his 2018-2019 tenure with the original Gorilla Gang/Singularity lineup, helping lead the team to first place finishes at WESG 2018 USA and NCS Major Chicago as well as making an appearance in the StarLadder Berlin Americas Minor.

Following the disbandment of the original Singularity lineup, he had a brief tenure as a player on the second iteration of Gorilla Gang, with the team finishing ESEA Advanced Season 32 in 7th-8th place after falling to Oceanus.

Dust2.us has learned from Brendan "stellar" McGrath that Divine will be using Collin "wrath" McSweegan in MAC-1's place, with the player having joined prior to the roster lock back in February. Additionally, the team will be using former New England Whalers player Lucas "Fiziq" Blow in their bout against Infinity tomorrow due to Robert "robby" Brown being unavailable.

As such, Divine's lineup is now:

  • United States Brenden "stellar" McGrath
  • United States Robert "robby" Brown
  • United States Brady "thief" Dever
  • United States Chris "riku" Piasecki
  • United States Collin "wrath" McSweegan

Divine are currently in the middle of the pack in ESEA MDL Season 33 with a 5-7 record.
