FLASHPOINT Closed Qualifier bracket revealed; Prospects replace Envy

Sixteen teams look to move one step closer to FLASHPOINT Season 1.

FLASHPOINT have released the bracket for their North American Closed Qualifier, which will see sixteen teams vying for two spots in the LAN Qualifier and take place in Los Angeles at the FACEIT Studio from March 3rd to 5th. 

The list of opening matchups for the FLASHPOINT closed qualifier are:

United States Bad News Bears vs. United States Big Frames
United States Triumph vs. United States Prospects
United States eUnited vs. Canada RBG
United States Recon 5 vs. United States Rugratz
United States Ze Pug Godz vs. United States Asuna's Anime Aimers
United States Mythic vs. Brazil Yeah
United States Swole Identity vs. United States New England Whalers
Canada Orgless vs. United States Chaos

Storylines of note in the first round of the upper bracket include Mythic looking to replicate their strong MDL form versus Yeah and Orgless pitting some of NA's best free agents against Chaos. Triumph await Prospects, who were added as a last minute substitution for the previously invited Envy.

The bracket will be played out in a double-elimination best-of-three format. The upper bracket winner and the consolation final winner will attend the LAN Qualifier for FLASHPOINT Season 1 in California and receive the lion's share of the $12,000 prize pool.

The Closed Qualifier will run from February 14-17th.
