Riot Squad part ways with team

The organization said they are stepping back from the game after the changes to ESL Pro League.

After the team made their unofficial debut with Michael "Grim" Wince yesterday, Riot Squad have parted ways with their CS:GO lineup and will be stepping away from the scene.

In a TwitLonger posted alongside the announcement, Riot Squad stated that the organization decided to step away from CS:GO following ESL's decision to restructure ESL Pro League, doing away with Season 10 relegation. As a result, Riot Squad missed out on a claiming  a spot in pro league, being sent back down into MDL.

Dust2.us knows that the team plan on playing under the name Bad New Bears, and have added Grim on a permanent basis.

As such, Bad News Bears are now:

  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • United States Austin "crashies" Roberts
  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • Canada Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
  • United States Michael "Grim" Wince

The team are set to face off against Big Frames in their opening matchup of the FLASHPOINT Closed Qualifier on February 14th, and will also be competing in the ESL One Rio Americas Minor Closed Qualifier which is set to begin on March 6th.
