Splyce will have nightmares about this face

TyLoo eliminate Splyce from ROG MASTERS

The North Americans had the misfortune of running into a Ukrainian wrecking ball.

After losing their Group A tiebreaker match with Gambit, Splyce were forced to play a quarterfinal match against the once-dominant Chinese side of TyLoo.

Things looked good for the North Americans on Train, their map pick, as Mitch "m1tch" Semago powered them to a 16-13 victory.

On Cobblestone, however, Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk, took over the map and the series. The loaned Ukrainian would post over a +10 K/D differential across the next two maps, leading to a stress-free victory for TyLoo on Cobblestone, and a much closer 16-13 affair on Cache.

Splyce will not leave Kuala Lumpur empty handed, as the last place finish still netted them $8,000. Additionally, the team will come away with the confidence boost of having taken a map off of Gambit, the reigning Major champions.

In the other quarterfinal, Vega Squadron ran over 5POWER in two straight maps. The Russians will now go on to play their CIS counterparts in Gambit, whereas TyLoo will next face the Australians of Grayhound.
