MDL whooooo

Quartet of MDL sides make changes

Monstars and Divine have added coaches, while MAC-51 cooked up a player swap.

A flurry of MDL personnel changes were announced yesterday, seeing two teams add veteran coaches, one team swap players, and one player announcing his intentions to step down.

First up, Josh "shinobi" Abastado, formerly of Riot Squad, has linked up with Monstars "until he gets a salaried offer."

With the addition, Monstars are:

  • United States Ian "tex" Botsch
  • United States Alex "aproto" Protopapas
  • United States Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
  • United States Shawn "witmer" Taylor
  • United States Nick "alter" Jackson
  • United States Josh "shinobi" Abastado (Coach)

shinobi's first outtings with the team were a mixed bag, as they went 1-1 in MDL last night with a loss to LiViD and win over Rap Gang.

Divine have also bolstered their ranks with the addition of veteran player Corey "flashstep" Parks.

  • United StatesJoshua "Hunter" Madore
  • United States Alex "zander" Diaz
  • Canada Erik "bul" Penny
  • United States Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
  • United States Daniel "roca" Gustaferri
  • United States Corey "flashstep" Parks (Coach)

flashstep comes to Divine from iNTACT, who he had only joined in late September. The move comes after Divine in-game leader Alex "zander" Diaz had stated that the team were looking for coaching help due to Sean "ashen" Yang being occupied with school.

In the first move involving player changes, MAC-51 will be moving forward with Rahul "curry" Nemani in place of Kiyota "guin" Guilherme Tadashi de Loundres.

MAC-51 are now:

  • United States Brenden "stellar" McGrath
  • United States Robert "robby" Brown
  • United States Brady "thief" Dever
  • United States Chris "riku" Piasecki
  • United States Rahul "curry" Nemani

curry had been linked to a move to the then-Party Astronauts squad back in August, but they ultimately opted to go with Malick "dangle" Abid, who has since parted ways with the team.

MAC-51 are currently at the bottom of the MDL table with an 0-4 record, and are set to face oNe and Big Frames in their next matches.

Finally, Bilal "SPAMMER" Ali has announced that he intends to step down from Rap Gang due to his mental state impacting the team.

Without SPAMMER, Rap Gang would look as follows:

  • Canada Justin "FaNg" Coakley
  • United States Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak
  • United States Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
  • United States Brendan "Bwills" Williams
  • United States Anhduy "nguyen" Nguyen (Coach)

The team are currently 2-4 in MDL.
