Swisher's team with Monstars has come to an end

Monstars alter roster as Swisher departs

The move follows a third place finish at Fragadelphia and a crushing loss in the first match of the young MDL season.

Last night, Michael "Swisher" Schmid announced on Twitter that he was stepping down from Monstars. The player had recently been linked to a move to Peeker's Advantage.

Swisher's tweet came shortly after Monstars suffered a crushing loss to Big Frames in their first MDL match of the season, managing no rounds on the T-side of Nuke before eventually falling 5-16. Monstars were also in attendance at Fragadelphia 13 this past weekend, managing a third place finish after repeat losses to Jason "neptune" Tran's J Money Crew.

Dust2.us knows that Swisher had been trying out with Peeker's Advantage prior to Fragadelphia 13, with the team trialing replacements after neptune departed for Swole Patrol.

Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce took to Twitter to announce that Monstars will be utilizing Nick "alter" Jackson as their fifth "until he finds a better offer."

Until that aforementioned offer arrives, Monstars are:

  • United States Ian "tex" Botsch
  • United States Alex "aproto" Protopapas
  • United States Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
  • United States Shawn "witmer" Taylor
  • United States Nick "alter" Jackson

The move at least temporarily reunites alter with BLITZKRIEG teammates Ian "tex" Botsch and Alex "aproto" Protopapas. The new-look Monstars lineup will debut tonight against Mythic at 8 PM EDT.
