CS:GO smashes monthly player record

Counter-Strike keeps getting bigger and bigger.

In late March, Counter-Strike developer Valve announced the new edition of it's legendary title; Counter-Strike 2. In the days and now month following that announcement, the entire community has seen a massive influx of newcomers and those returning to the game.

According to Valve's Counter-Strike blog site, 29,303,030 monthly players have now played the game throughout the month of April. This is even greater than the 27.7 million that was reached back in March, which is when the Counter-Strike 2 beta was officially released.

With the game reaching new heights, it could not come at a better time for the competitive community which sees the start of the BLAST.tv Paris Major beginning just under a week from today.

Hype surrounding the last ever CS:GO Major is definitely at an all time high with fans clamoring for the new stickers, signatures, potential pins, and the viewer pass.

While it is unknown when exactly the update will be published for all to enjoy, we should see Pick 'Ems officially coming to Counter-Strike this week.
