Party Astronauts disband

Party Astronauts have disbanded today following the departure of long-time IGL Ben "ben1337" Smith to BOSS yesterday.

The dissolution of this fifth iteration of the iconic NA tag likely marks the end of Party Astronauts' presence in the NA scene at least in the short-term, as ben1337 was the final member core member of the roster from its glory days still on Party Astronauts, with other former teammates like Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue, Jonathan "djay" Dallal, and Wesley "viz" Harris either on other teams or retired from pro play.

Austin "Austin" Meadows told Dust2.us that the team decided to split up due to a lack of interest in sticking together with their IGL while Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula shared a similar sentiment while also noting that the team were on course to lose a significant number of VRS points without ben1337.

With Party Astronauts disbanding, they have dropped out of ESL Challenger League Season 50 and the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #3 while also forfeiting against MIGHT in Thunderpick World Championship 2025: North American Series #2/
