Evil Geniuses confirm Danish addition

Evil Geniuses have announced the addition of Danish rifler and former Sprout IGL, Ismail "refrezh" Ali. refrezh had been linked with Evil Geniuses for some time prior to the signing, as BLIX reported on March 19th that the parties had reached a verbal agreement to join the main roster.

The Seattle-based organization brings refrezh into the lineup after a dismal start to 2023, with the team unreservedly failing to live up to the expectations of a tier-one organization with a string of uninspired performances.

As such, Evil Geniuses likely hope that enlisting the services of refrezh can breathe some life into the roster ahead of the second half of 2023. While refrezh's stock is somewhat low following a mixed tenure at Sprout, his previous outing at Heroic saw the team maintain a consistent top five position on HLTV's world rankings.

With a decent combination of experience and tier-one fragging potential, refrezh is potentially a great addition to Evil Geniuses, with the onus being on Sanzhar "neaLaN" İskhakov and Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg to help bring refrezh back into the fold after a difficult period for the player.

refrezh is all but expected to be replacing Jadan "HexT" Postma on the main lineup, with the latter player replacing Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz on EG Black. However, EG have yet to make any announcement confirming this.
