Another ESL Challenger League slow start; Mythic capitalize

Just like the previous season, ECL hasn't seen much play going on during the first weeks.

ESL Challenger League is NA's best regional league at the moment, but the momentum is tough to pick up. After the two opening games on January 25th, there have only been three more games until today. This helps teams with older players, as the schedule isn't as packed, namely Mythic players (they didn't even show the team's average years on HLTV until today).

Adding to this, only three teams from each group have played so far. Nouns, Mythic and Noxious, and timbermen, ATK and Limitless.

One day after the opening matches, Nouns played against Noxious, previously known as Post Mortem, which they comfortably beat in just two maps, with David "cynic" Polster topping the fragging list with 49 kills.

The next week timbermen faced off against Limitless, with the newly-promoted team not able to stop the opposition. 2-0 was the score for timbermen, as the whole squad was shooting pretty well, with every member collecting 30 or more victims by the end of the series.

After both teams lost to Nouns previously, Mythic and Noxious played each other. The series started off well for Noxious, winning the T-side of Vertigo, but things quickly turned around, mostly due to Austin "Cooper" Abadir's performance. Cooper had 15 kills on Mythic's T-side, adding to the 16 he had on the CT-side. Mythic won Vertigo 16-10, and then Cooper had another great game on Overpass, with 29 kills, propelling his team to another win, this time with a 16-8 score. Cooper ended the series with 60 total kills, and 115.8 ADR.
