ESL kicks off Impact with Katowice

This new season of the Impact League will kick off at IEM Katowice.

ESL's Impact League comes back to Katowice in 2023 as the event will kick off the second year of the women's league. This event will begin the year which contains two regional-online seasons with LAN finals in Dallas, TX and Hanover, Germany.

ESL Impact Katowice 2023 will be run concurrently with ESL's IEM Katowice main event. This will also mark the first time that women's CS:GO will be played in Katowice since 2020 when the Intel Challenge was cancelled. The Intel Challenge was an annual event that begin in 2015 and was considered one of the premier women's events.

Open qualifiers for the Impact event in Katowice begin December 14-18 across all regions with two teams from Europe, one from North America, and one from South America will join four invited teams across the globe.

While the event will be running concurrently with IEM Katowice in the Spodek Arena, the women's event will be played in the IEM Expo area at the MCK which is adjacent and has an underground tunnel connecting the two. The entrance to the IEM Expo is free of charge and open to all, so there are no tickets needed to watch the ESL Impact event.
