stamina is now on the hunt for an ECL squad to join

stamina departs from Limitless

The IGL stated the project was too long-term for his liking.

Bobby "stamina" Eitrem has announced the mutual termination of his contract with Limitless, citing the long-term trajectory of the roster as his reason for departing the team. stamina further clarified in his TwitLonger that he will be streaming full-time until an ECL offer opens up for the next season.

After the Limitless lineup featuring Dave "seziwana" Schrage and Devin "AtomiK" Ferrell was unable to reach ECL through relegation, the organization parted ways with that roster and opted to rebuild heading into Season 42 of Advanced. The squad's lineup for Season 42 was headlined by stamina, who was joined by promising young guns including Josh "JBa" Barutt and Matthew "scar" Bruni.

Despite the lineup offering significant potential, Limitless struggled in Season 42 of Advanced and elsewhere in the domestic circuit. The squad secured a playoffs appearance in Season 42 thanks to an 8-4 regular-season record, but they were denied a deep run by Take Flyte and Red Wolves, seeing Limitless bow out of playoffs without a series win. Limitless showed promise in the IEM Rio Americas RMR Open Qualifiers, playing close games against Brazen, Evil Geniuses, and timbermen, but they were ultimately unable to breach the Round of 16.

LAN did not do Limitless any favors either, as the squad was immediately sent to the lower bracket of the Fragadelphia 17 Last Chance Qualifier by British side 7AM before being handily denied qualification for the main stage by Victorum. The team also missed out on the playoffs of CCT North America Series 1, only securing a victory against Electrify Steel and a forfeit win over All Gas No Brakes, exiting the Swiss group stage with a 2-3 record.

Touching on his motivations for leaving the squad, stamina stated that "the project trajectory looked longer than originally expected", further elaborating that he felt it would be unfair to place the pressure of "ECL or bust" on his more inexperienced teammates. stamina went on to say that even despite these shortcomings, he felt refreshed to play with his teammates and praised their efforts, alongside the work of coach Sean "coastal" Thompson and analyst Ashlynn "Valkenn" Brady.

stamina's departure leaves Limitless with the following lineup:

  • United States Kamron "kmrn" Manii

  • United States Josh "JBa" Barutt

  • Canada Matthew "scar" Bruni

  • United States Adam "Grizz" Golden

  • United States Sean "coastal" Thompson (Coach)

  • United States Ashlynn "Valkenn" Brady (Analyst)

Limitless will now be on the hunt for a fifth to round out their squad for the remainder of Advanced Season 43, where the team currently hold a 5-3 record in the regular season. In the meantime, stamina will be spending his time streaming until an ECL-level offer becomes available.
