I don't think 9z will be fan favorites any time soon

9z raise hell in Brazil

The South Cone organization bested the fan-favorite Imperial squad to end the night.

9z have taken down Imperial, sending the beloved Brazilian squad down to a 0-2 record and potentially ending their run far earlier than any of the fans in the arena wanted if not expected.

The action began on Mirage with 9z mounting a dominant CT-side with Imperial trailing 13-2 at the half. After switching sides, Imperial finally began to show signs of life as they won six rounds in a row to close the gap to five rounds. This would, however, be the end of the line for Imperial's efforts to try and close the gap as 9z quickly worked up to a 15-8 matchpoint before taking the map 16-11.

Despite a strong performance from Gabriel "Fallen" Toledo, Imperial were lackluster overall, with Fernando "fer" Alvarenga dragging behind the pack with a 0.70 rating.
