FURIA stomp in Brazilian derby
After two disappointing losses for their home crowd, FURIA and 00 Nation squared off against each other in round two to see who's backs would be against the wall heading into day two.
The action kicked off on Mirage with FURIA winning their T-side pistol round before an absolutely dominant performance in the first half to head onto their CT-side up 11-4. This situation continued to get worse for 00 Nation as FURIA also won the second round before climbing up to 14-4. Despite a minor comeback from Epitacio "TACO" de Melo's troops in round 19, netting two rounds, it was very much too little too late as FURIA won the next two rounds to win Mirage 16-6.
During the map, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato was absolutely dominant, posting a 2.25 rating and a +22 kill differential. This was a stark contrast to 00 Nation, where no one managed to go positive or post a +1 rating. While many liekly and rightfully expected FURIA to win the series, 00 Nation's run has been quite a dismal affair thus far, a fact that will likely disappoint the Brazilian fans of the TACOLD duo.
