FaNg dominated on Nuke

COMPLEXITY ON FIRE

By beating HEET, Complexity remains undefeated in Pro League Season 16.

Coming off a game yesterday that made Benjamin "blameF" Bremer wish he had stuck with the Dallas Cowboys, Complexity was full steam ahead as they faced off against HEET. The Frenchmen put up quite a fight against the young Americans but in the end, Complexity came out on top, taking the first two maps and remaining undefeated in Group C.

Nuke was the first map and from the way it started, it seemed as if things could be as tight as Complexity's Nuke against Astralis yesterday. HEET started out strong going up 6-2 but from there, things began to click for the American side. Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli and Justin "FaNg" Coakley started to get things going which resulted in Complexity winning thirteen rounds on the trot.

There was nothing HEET could do to stop the onslaught as every clutch seemed to go the way of Complexity and FaNg continued to dominate, ending the map with a 1.67 HLTV rating. It was a mixture of dominant fragging displays, clutch moments and finally being able to find impact on the AWP that gave Complexity the win in the first map.

On Complexity's pick of Overpass, things got off to a great start as Floppy won a 1v2 to win the first round. Despite the early advantage, HEET got themselves back into the first half with the lead switching multiple times. The perfect personification of Complexity's willingness to win this game was in round six when the casters were righting off any chance to clutch but hallzerk and Johnny "JT" Theodosiou pulled a 2v4 out of nowhere in dominant fashion. The first half would end 8-7 against HEET as another Complexity clutch in the second to last round of the half gave them the advantage heading onto the CT-side.

Headshot after headshot is the only way to describe how the second half of Overpass started off. The Americans took both pistol rounds and looked to replicate what they achieved on Nuke, domination in the second half. However that would not be the case, every round that Complexity would win, HEET would respond with a win of their own. Things continued to go back and forth but Complexity managed to keep themselves just ahead. It was a great performance from hallzerk in the 24th round that meant Complexity could finally pull away, with this momentum behind them they would go onto win map two 16-12.

You would remember every time you see a great white shark. But you don’t remember every single dog you’ve pet.

I.e. —> JT kills/highlights are few and far between but Fang has impact and kills more often that you don’t remember each one.
