Drewtheshrew is back in action after pugging out Season 41 of Advanced

Touch Point revamp roster with two additions

The squad will look to improve on a lackluster showing in ESEA Advanced Season 41.

Advanced side Touch Point have announced the addition of two new players, Drew "Drewtheshrew" Lamb and Jason "gir" Fox. These two players will be taking the spots left behind by the departures of Jordan "rezy1on" Smith and Emiliano "zim" Zarza in June.

Touch Point opted to make changes following an unfortunate performance in Season 41 of ESEA Advanced, which saw the team miss out on playoffs after acquiring a middling 7-7 record in the regular season. This showing left a lot to be desired, especially considering the squad's solid performance in the regular season of Season 40, where Touch Point went 10-4 before bowing out early in the playoffs.

Touch Point are once again building around the core duo of Brett "Beastman" Eastman and Nikolaos "PoseidoNN" Antoniou, which the team chose to do as well prior to Season 41 when rezy1on, zim, and Matthew "Livid" Surma linked up with the squad. While Livid has retained his spot on the lineup, both rezy1on and zim made the decision to step down from the roster heading into the next season.

Drewtheshrew and gir both make their way to Touch Point after having taken a fairly relaxed approach to Season 41. After stepping down from Levitate at the end of Advanced Season 40, Drewtheshrew opted to spend Season 41 pugging it out with Fire Breathing Duckies, whereas gir chose to take a break from competitive Counter-Strike altogether after departing from Omega at the end of Season 40. Both of these players will provide Touch Point with further Advanced experience, which will be helpful in the squad's endeavor to finally break free of the division.

Touch Point's roster is now:

  • United States Brett "Beastman Eastman

  • United States Nikolaos "PoseidoNN" Antoniou

  • United States Matthew "Livid" Surma

  • United States Drew "Drewtheshrew" Lamb

  • United States Jason "gir" Fox

This new-look Touch Point squad has already made their debut, falling early on in the first ESL Challenger Melbourne Open Qualifier at the hands of Gaimin Gladiators. Touch Point now await the start of ESEA Advanced Season 42, set to begin August 16th.
