MIBR will have to climb back if they wish to stay in Cologne

MIBR get bucked by the Riders

The Americas still searching for its second win from their representatives this morning.

In a thrilling back and forth match on the recently updated Ancient, the Spaniards were able to mount a comeback against the resilient Brazilians to capture an opening map victory to earn a battle against Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut's Vitality in the upper bracket. With this loss, MIBR has been sent to the lower bracket where they will be playing TYLOO tomorrow at 06:30AM.

Starting off on their CT side, MIBR jumped out to a 7-2 lead before letting the Riders slowly creep back with two pivotal T-side rounds for a first half scoreline of 11-4. Those rounds would prove to be crucial, as once the sides flipped it was all Movistar all the way. The Spaniards won the first eight rounds on their CT half, climbing back to an impressive 12-11 scoreline as MIBR seemed to have no offensive response in their arsenal. With only two bomb plants to show for it, MIBR's economy was in trouble and their confidence was shaky. Movistar capitalized on a weakened opponent and finished the match 16-13.
