Liquid face 0-2 game yet again after loss to FURIA
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and co. have their backs against the wall yet again after a 16-9 defeat against FURIA on Ancient. After losing their opening series to Heroic 16-11 on Vertigo, the only NA representation in the Legends stage of this Major faced an incredibly slow start on the T-side of Ancient. After taking only two rounds in the opening eleven, Liquid would stabilize, however as they would claim three of the remaining four rounds to salvage the half 10-5.
The second half started in the best possible way for Liquid, winning the pistol round off the back of an EliGE 4k, but unfortunately, the Brazilians would go on to take the all-important follow-up round which crushed the Liquid economy. FURIA marched on to the verge of match point, securing a 14-6 lead despite a scary eco round from Liquid on round 19 which left Rafael "saffee" Costa in a 2v1 which he would go on to win. The North Americans would continue to fight valiantly but it just wasn't their day as FURIA closed it out 16-9.
