NRG put up a dominant performance on their road to the Major, but fell short in the New Legends stage and will have to work their way through the Minor once again

Swani left adrift after losing NRG

The analyst has parted ways with the team following their 0-3 exit from the Major.

Former ALTERNATE aTTaX, Liquid, and MIBR analyst Jan "Swani" Müller has announced that he is stepping down from his analyst role on NRG following the team's 0-3 run in the IEM Katowice New Legends stage.

Swani linked up with NRG at the start of the year, helping the team make a flawless run through both the Americas Minor and the New Challengers stage of the Major before falling in narrow best-of-one losses to NiP and AVANGAR in the New Legends stage, and eventually being eliminated in the 0-2 decider matchup by compLexity.

Swani went on to say that he was once again seeking new opportunities, and is open to working in any region or timezone.

This leaves NRG with:

  • United States Jacob "FugLy" Medina
  • United States Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
  • Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov
  • Canada Damian "daps" Steele
  • United States Ethan "Ethan" Arnold
  • United States Chet "ImAPet" Singh (Coach)

NRG are next slated to compete in Shanghai, China for StarSeries i-League Season 7 from March 30th - April 7th, before returning to the United States to play in the inaugural offline season of ESL Pro League.
