Third Impact sign Triumph

Third Impact have acquired the roster of Triumph, only a day before their first match in ESL Challenger League Season 40. This signing sees the organization return to the Premier/Challenger League level after missing out on ESEA Premier Season 39 and ESL Challenger League Season 40.

Third Impact's previous roster opted to go their separate ways following an unfortunate run in ESEA Premier Season 39 Relegation, which saw them narrowly miss out on participation in ESL Challenger League Season 40 after defeats at the hands of Strife and X13. This disappointing result led to several departures, with Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield, Noah "insane" Eheart, and Austin "AJaxz" Janocha all exiting the team.

Faced with the prospect of having to rebuild the squad almost entirely from scratch, the remaining players, Keanu "DaneJoris" Reyes and Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez instead chose to simply move on, with the former player joining the ranks of Triumph. As the final two players left, organization owner Kenneth "sp0rk" McGaffey expressed his desire to work with DaneJoris again, which this signing has facilitated.

This will not be the first time under the Third Impact banner for several of the players on the Triumph roster, with Wesley "viz" Harris, Brennan "grape" Greer, and DaneJoris all having played together for the organization previously.

The Triumph squad which Third Impact has acquired has had an unfortunate start to 2022, as their debut event with DaneJoris in place of Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk, the ESEA x Fragadelphia Winter Cash Cup 2, saw them face an early defeat at the hands of Eric "ERIC" W.'s mix-team umomd.

The new Third Impact squad will need to hit the ground running, as they are set to face regional heavyweights RBG in their debut ESL Challenger League matchup tomorrow at 8:00 PM EST.
