Final Feature are the final team to feature in ESEA MDL Season 30
The final game of ESEA MDL Season 29 Relegation took place, between Advanced's Final Feature and MDL's ETHEREAL. One best-of-three separated the two teams from promotion or relegation, which was vetoed down to Nuke, Train and Inferno.
Nuke ended up being a close map at the end, but it didn't appear that way from the first half. Final Feature opened proceedings with the first two rounds, before ETHEREAL took the lead with three of their own straight after. The two teams then battled for control, but after a 4-4 draw the first half belonged to Final Feature, as Damian "droid" Boulware and co. pushed on to take the 11-4 lead.
The second half appeared to be a role reversal, as ETHEREAL came out of the gates looking to get back into the game. Arya "arya" Hekmat's goal was to drag his team out of a loss, and by finishing the game with 30 kills and a 1.57 rating he came fairly close. Final Feature narrowly kept ETHEREAL from taking the lead with a few round wins in the second half before arya and co. managed to even the score at 14-14. Final Feature were set to end the map here as they took the final two rounds to secure the first map at 16-14.
Train followed, and this map finished much quicker than the previous one. ETHEREAL opened the game with the pistol round, before Final Feature reset on the second round and pushed on for a very strong lead. Daniel "picky" Milazzo led his team in the scoreboard, taking 132.7 in ADR and a 1.89 rating, to see Final Feature only drop one more round in the map. They'd go from a 13-2 half to a 16-2 win, securing their spot in the next season of ESEA MDL.

ESEA MDL Season 30 is set to begin on January 14th and run until April 8th. The season will not be one that would grant promotion to ESL Pro League, nor host a Global Challenge.
