moose led his team to one of the biggest upsets at the Minor

NRG left powerless as eUnited proceed to consolation final

And just like that, NRG's Legends aspirations are no more.

Nuke started off with NRG on the CT side, and as is usually expected, NRG gained the upper hand in the first half with their side, with Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov being the team's leading fragger. Ending on an 11-4 first half, NRG were in a prime position to take the first map of the series easily.

However, eUnited rebounded in the second half, with Kaleb "moose" Jayne helping keep his team in the game. Eventually, NRG pulled through and closed out the first map, but not before eUnited were able to take nine rounds for themselves, ending the first map 16-13 in favor of NRG.

On Inferno, the two teams traded rounds back and forth for the first half before NRG rounded out the half 8-7 in their favor. In the second half, eUnited took back the lead, with a strong 9-3 half led by moose and Brandon "Ace" Winn. Taking the second half, eUnited forced the series into the final decider map of Dust2 to determine which team would go up against compLexity in the consolation final.

On Dust2, eUnited were merciless against NRG, taking the lead on the CT side and even managing to shut down NRG's star player CeRq. In the first half, NRG struggled against eUnited, with the team only winning three rounds. eUnited took the first half 12-3, the most dominant half of the series.

eUnited retained their lead in the second half, despite NRG taking the pistol round and an effort by Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte to keep his team in the game. NRG attempted to tap back into the energy that led them in the first map, but excellent performances from moose and Will "dazzLe" Loafman kept eUnited dominant in the last rounds of the series. eUnited closed out the map 16-5 and take the series 2-1.
