dapr and eUnited have continued their winning ways in Leicester

Global Challenge: eUnited advance over Torqued, Swole Patrol ORDERed home

After both North American teams in Group B won their opening matches, they surprisingly wound up facing each other to make playoffs.

With action continuing in Leicester, eUnited were able to make relatively short work of Brazilian side YeaH! Following up on that, Braxton "swag" Pierce and Torqued were able to squeak past the newly-minted ESL Pro League side of Windigo.

This setup a showdown between the two North American sides in the upper bracket of Group B, and there was no lack of fireworks to be had. With a spot in the playoffs on the line, and swag again doing work for Torqued, Michael "dapr" Gulino stepped up and dropped 35 kills on his former team to send eUnited through.

Torqued now await the winner of the match between YeaH! and Windigo to see who will be their foe in the decider match. While the team is undoubtedly disappointed about missing out on ESL Pro League, they will at least not fly back across the pond empty handed.

Over in the losers match of Group A, Swole Patrol had a date with the Australians of ORDER to see which team would extend their run in the event. The first map of the series, Nuke, was a back and forth affair that the Americans wound up losing in overtime.

Seemingly out of steam, and on their opponents map pick of Cache, Swole Patrol succumbed with a 16-3 score line, exiting the tournament in last place. Again noteworthy was IGL Austin "Cooper" Abadir not capturing his form from the Relegation tournament, though both Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro and Samuel "SileNt" Portillo topped the scoreboard on both maps.
