c4lypso returns to LiviD following a strong individual showing at T.O. Spawn this past weekend

LiviD and Lowkey make changes, Fifflaren re-embraces seniority on Old Guys Club

The standard preseason shuffle takes hold for another three Advanced teams.

A trio of Advanced teams have made adjustments to their roster just ahead of the start of Season 31.

Following their 7-8th place finish at T.O. Spawn this past weekend, LiviD have parted ways with Michael "miLLe" St-Pierre. A standout performance as a part of Grizzlys at the same event has seen the return of Abdo "c4lypso" Agha to LiviD, with the player having previously played for the French Canadian roster in the first eight matches of Season 30 before being released.

miLLe was the longest-standing member of the squad, originally linking up with the organization in June of 2018. Dust2.us knows that his removal was a two-part issue, with members of the team citing internal issues in addition to miLLe's wish to return to AWPing. The player announced his search for a new team in a tweet last night.

LiviD's roster now consists of:

  • Canada Danny "huynh" Huynh
  • Canada Michael "MkaeL" De Luca
  • Canada Cedric "M3lio" Perrault
  • Canada Mathieu "INCREDIBLE" Bergeron
  • Canada Abdo "c4lypso" Agha
  •  Fabien "atLaNtis" Deguiraud (Coach)

After being relegated to Advanced following back-to-back losses to slashLEVEL and The Quest in MDL Relegation, Old Guys Club have increased the average age of their members with the re-addition of Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson. The Swede was a member of the original Old Guys Club roster that participated in ESEA Open Season 28, with the team finishing their run with a 14-2 regular season record before forfeiting their third playoff match.

Although he was never a part of the MDL iteration of the roster, Fifflaren played alongside Sean "seang@res" Gares and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert in the team's ESEA Open matches, and now makes a return as Old Guys Club prepare to stream the upcoming Advanced season. Fifflaren is also set to return to the couch at cs_summit 4, continuing his run of appearances at the laid-back event.

The active roster of the team consists of eleven players, with only four members currently paid up — Samuel "SileNt" Portillo, Mohamad "mOE" Assad, n0thing, and seang@res. At least one additional player will be required to pay their fees as Old Guys Club prepares to play their matches in the upcoming season.

Old Guys Club's roster now features:

  • United States Samuel "SileNt" Portillo
  • United States Yazan "clowN" Ammari
  • United States Sean "seang@res" Gares
  • United States Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
  • United States Matt "Pollo" Wilson
  • Canada Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen
  • Sweden Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson
  • United States Mohamad "mOE" Assad (Coach)

The newly-minted Lowkey roster, previously going under the tag Hot Ass, have parted ways with in-game leader Alex "vek" Voynov. When contacted by Dust2.us, vek informed us that "things didn't work out" with the team, going on to say that he was now in search of "hopefully an MDL team" to in-game lead for. Lowkey are left with four people on their roster, and have posted a recruitment ad on ESEA in search of a fifth player.

Lowkey's roster is now:

  • United States Paytyn "Junior" Johnson
  • United States Alex "Obs1dian" Conrad
  • United States Damian "droid" Boulware
  • United States Lucas "Fiziq" Blow

ESEA Season 31 is now underway, with the first matches in both MDL and Advanced set to commence later today.
