A lot of the players dropping out were bubble players that were unsure of whether or not they'd be competing in EPL this coming season. Because of the nature of the tournament and it requiring 5 players from the same country, you see a lot of pugs put together. So some players drop out once they have a team set in stone and other obligations (sometimes contractual).
