another day, another mediocre player choosing "wins" over improvement -_-

I agree with Valens on the mental aspect of the game. I know there are kids in NA advanced with mechanics that could take them to the top, but they lack the mental fortitude and/or social skills to succeed. I'm glad this is a focus, as it is often not addressed-- then we wonder-- "why does he look so nuts in scrims but bottles it in officials?". My six cents from the peanut gallery would be to keep the focus on the individual mental development, but as above said, move them to EU. You won't know how people perform unless they are put to the test. Real talk, if I'm "feeling it" I think I can hang with players of any level. But that's when I'm feeling it. And I'm sure that logic is taken even further with actual tier 1 pros. So rather than see how well they do in an ideal environment, see how well they do in an adverse environment. That's the best way to build a team with a solid skill floor. Anyone can win on their best day, but you have to be capable of winning on your "meh" days too. So by raising the skill level of practices, the pressure is naturally cranked up, and you will be able to better see and address these development hic-ups. Because it's hard to address holes in their mental when they're 2-0ing strife for the 57th time this month. Now let's see how everyone is holding up and who shows problems when they're down 10-1 to 1win on a vertigo scrim.

I'm of the opinion that this roster is player for player better than the main EG roster. Nothing I have seen from Breeze tells me he is anywhere close to his peaks in 2019, I would take jeorge over him any day (and the intangible of "hunger" gives jeorge a plus). I think junior has a higher skill ceiling than wiz. Wiz may have a better skill floor, but what runs tier 1 EU right now? It's dominant AWP presence; and I believe junior makes his presence on the server felt more than wiz. Nealan is a good player, but why are we bogging him down with IGL duties? I'd rather have someone like Walco IGL to free up nealan to frag more consistently. RUSH is quite possibly the most undervalued anchor/support rifler ever. Certainly the best NA has produced in CS:GO at his role. The only W for the main roster is they have autimatic. Even when I watch their losses, his decision making is most consistent with tier 1. So suffice it to say: if I had to make the EG project in my own image, he would be the only piece of the main roster I keep (maybe you could convince me to keep nealan and/or wiz if there is budgetary or contractual restraints). At least to me, this EG project has been a great teaching moment; it doesn't matter how much money and time you have to throw at a project, if that project does not have a unifying vision. The backroom staff EG has acquired have the know how. So the only thing I can conclude as an outsider is that this is a case of "too many cooks in the kitchen". The best films come from a single vision; Kubrick, Tarantino, Carpenter. The best structural designs of our species are often drawn up by a single talented architect with a vision. I can keep rambling, but I think I've made my point. Knowledge is useless unless it is channeled and pointed in the right direction.
