Blight have recruited two new players ahead of Season 26

Blight add two ahead of ESEA Premier Season 26

The team will make a near-complete overhaul between seasons, and still are one player short.

There have been many ups and downs for Josh "joshbM" Blier and Blight since the organization picked up the first iteration of his roster in mid-2016. That year would see the best results for the squad, finishing 5-8th in ESEA Season 22, and making it to the closed qualifier for the second season of ELEAGUE.

Since then, results have generally trended downward, with Blight placing in the bottom half of the ESEA standings table three seasons in a row at the end of Season 25, which they finished with a 7-9 record. This has unsurprisingly led to a major roster overhaul, with Jeff "REZU" Ngo, Andrew "Dewey" Sanchez and Kyle "Sneaky" Stewart all having been given their marching orders. In-game leader Corey "flashstep" Parks alluded to that the reasons for the roster change were not performance-based:

Now, flashstep has also announced that the new additions to the squad will be Jacob "L0NER" Webster and Nick "Zeptic" Kaoud. Of the two, Webster has more high-level experience, playing the last season of ESEA Main with Heaven's Devils. The move brings Blight's player count up to four, so they will be expected to add a fifth member before the season starts on September 24.

The current Blight roster is:

  • United States Josh "joshbM" Blier
  • United States Corey "flashstep" Parks
  • United States Jacob "L0NER" Webster
  • United States Nick "Zeptic" Kaoud
