Poor T-side costs Liquid as they fall to BetBoom
Following their 13-10 opening victory against BIG, Liquid were unable to match M80's 2-0 day one as a 9-13 loss against BetBoom has sent them to the 1-1 pool. Captain Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek had an especially tough time in the calling and fragging departments.
The veto led the match to Dust2, where BetBoom got their CT pistol and the conversion. Though Liquid responded with a round win, BetBoom went on a seven-round tear to put Liquid down 1-9. Liquid managed to snatch the last two rounds of the half, but still faced a daunting 3-9 deficit.
Going into their CT-side, Liquid won the pistol and conversion to start on the right foot. However, BetBoom quickly took match point after a three-round run, leaving Liquid down 5-12. Liquid started to string some rounds together, but were cut short in the end as Liquid lost the map 9-13.
