NRG come agonizingly close v. GamerLegion, fall to 0-1 at IEM Cologne Major
GamerLegion survived a scare from NRG in the opening round of matchups to begin at IEM Cologne Stage 1.
The North Americans can be encouraged by the result, but at the end of the day, they are still 0-1 at the Major. Sebastion "Tauson" Tauson Lindelof topped the scoreboard with 21 frags and a 1.31 rating in the match.
Inferno was the setting for NRG v. GamerLegion, where it looked like GL would run away with the map early, as they took a 6-1 lead despite losing the opening pistol round. NRG were able to get themselves back into the game, winning eight out of nine rounds in the late first half and early second half to jump ahead 9-7. GamerLegion remained composed; winning a half-buy to take the momentum back and steal the map back, 13-10.
Tauson rounded things off with a 4K 1v2 to put NRG to bed, as Michael "Grim" Wince couldn't get the timing and was shot in the back by the Dane in the 1v1.
