Congratulations on the win over GamerLegion. What do you attribute the great performance on stage to?
It was not that confident because on Nuke we kinda fucked up a bit at the beginning. We managed to come back, which is perfect for us. We managed to win 3-0. After beating Vitality, everyone was expecting us to win the tournament.
We still had a lot of work to do because BetBoom and GamerLegion beat good teams in this tournament. They can surprise us, so we cannot underestimate them.
Did Aleksib or B1ad3 have any words of wisdom during the timeout on the third map?
Mostly in our timeouts, we spoke about what we needed to do, and tried to win as much as possible, and that's pretty much it.
Did you feel like it was your tournament to win after beating Vitality, or were you still thinking about the next two games?
As I said before, we knew we had a big chance to win when we beat Vitality. We cannot think like that; we just need to play our game and not underestimate any of them.
Do you think anything has changed with w0nderful to turn him into the superstar player we saw in Atlanta?
It's only confidence. His confidence can stop him, and this tournament, everything worked out for him. I'm so happy that he won his first MVP. He deserves it.
Now that you've beaten them once, do you feel like you have an answer for Vitality if you meet them in the playoffs of Cologne?
I do not think it's gonna be only them and us. We also saw Spirit and Falcons having a battle in the PGL tournament. It's gonna be a totally different tournament, and it's gonna be way harder for us because we have to face the new Falcons and Spirit that we didn't face before. We need to focus.
Do you think the scene is strong going into Cologne?
Pretty much. Teams are changing because they want to get stronger. I think it's gonna be a close one. It's hard to say for now. As for us, we'll have some days off. We'll go to boot camp just to be ready for them and Vitality.
Now that IEM Atlanta is done, NAVI will return to the server in mid-June for the IEM Cologne Major.
