donk surpasses NiKo and kennyS in MVP medals after Astana win
Spirit's superstar rifler Danil "donk" Kryshkovets has claimed his 11th HLTV MVP after Spirit's win over Falcons at PGL Astana 2026.
Outside of the achievement itself, which is donk's first of 2026, it places the 19-year-old player ahead of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, Kenny "kennyS" Schrub, and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund on the all-time MVP leaderboard.
The number of MVP awards donk has snagged is particularly impressive considering the Russian rifler has only been playing the game at a tier-one level for three years, while kennyS, GeT_RiGht, and NiKo have had lengthy careers while the players he has surpassed played for the majority of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive while NiKo is a contemporary in CS2.
Overall, donk has claimed the fourth-most HLTV MVP awards of any player, currently sitting eight MVP awards behind Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz and a staggering 22 behind Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut.
Should donk continue on his current trajectory, one would expect him to eventually surpass dev1ce and even Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's 21 awards, however retirement may be the only thing that could slow ZywOo down.
