Fisher exit Astana winless after 0-2 loss to the Huns
Fisher College have exited PGL Astana 2026 winless following a 0-2 loss to The Huns earlier today, with the collegiate squad proving no match for the Mongolian side on Nuke and Inferno. The loss marks the end of Fisher College's long-shot campaign to find success in their first S-tier event.
Heading into Nuke, Fisher briefly held a 3-1 lead on their T-side before conceding the next five rounds to The Huns, leading the way for The Hunts to narrowly lead 7-5 heading into the second half. Moving onto their CT-side, Fisher lost the pistol round and the following two rounds to give up double digits before putting three of their own on the board to close the gap to 10-8. Unfortunately, this is as close Fisher would come to winning the map as The Huns won the next three rounds to take the map 13-8.
Heading into Inferno, The Huns got off to a dominant start on their T-side with the pistol round and the next four rounds before Fisher tied things up with five rounds of their own. The Huns would then take another close half with the final two rounds to head into their CT-side with a 7-5 lead. After switching sides, Fisher were entirely unable to answer back against The Huns' CT-side as the Mongolians only conceded one round before taking Inferno 13-6.
While not entirely unexpected, Fisher leave Astana with no maps and as some of the worst-rated players of the event.
However, the team gained valuable experience that they will hopefully be able to apply in the NA scene moving forward.
