
Falcons beat K27 on karrigan's debut at PGL Astana
Finn "karrigan" Andersen's much-awaited debut for Falcons came against K27 at PGL Astana.
Falcons swept K27 in the match, but it wasn't without a good fight from the Russian side in the second map.
The series got started on K27's Dust2 pick, but it was Falcons who seized control early. They began by winning the first five rounds, and four of the final seven to take a commanding 9-3 lead at halftime. K27 cut the lead to 9-5, but Falcons closed with four rounds in a row to win the map 13-5.
Falcons' pick was Ancient, and they started well once again, taking a 6-0 lead. K27 fought back well, taking five out of the last six rounds to reduce the deficit to 7-5. Falcons secured eleven rounds quickly but it was K27 who battled back again to tie things up at 11-11. That was as close as they would get, though, as Falcons clutched up to take the final two rounds and hold serve on their map, 13-11.
Falcons Russian duo of Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov and Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin both posted greater than 30 frags to clinch the win on Karrigan's debut. With the win, Falcons move to 1-0 in the Swiss stage at PGL Astana.
