Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 6 Day #2 recap: Zomblers take down InControl
Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 6 continued last night with one match played between Zomblers and InControl. Though the series ended 2-0 with a Zomblers win, the two maps showed vastly different performances.
Zomblers 2-0 InControl
The series began on Nuke, the pick of InControl, with a Zomblers CT pistol and conversion. InControl responded with two rounds of their own before Zomblers won five of the next six rounds. InControl closed the half with two more, making the score 7-5 in favor of Zomblers. They also won the pistol and had a strong start to their T-side, giving Zomblers a 12-6 lead. However, InControl stood strong and rallied six rounds of their own to bring the game to overtime.
Zomblers started with two round losses. Though they got one back before the half, InControl responded with one of their own to give themselves two map points. Zomblers withstood both and dominated their CT-side to start their T-side in second overtime up 18-15. InControl got two, but on their ninth map point, Zomblers closed it out 19-17 to take the lead in the series.
Zombler's map pick was Dust II, and they showed a completely different performance. InControl won the pistol, but Zomblers went on to dominate the rest of the half to enter their CT-side up 10-2. The CT pistol sealed their win as they went on to take their pick 13-3 and the series 2-0.
Marco "Pol0" Hernandez and Nikolaos "Pose1doNN" Antoniou were the engines behind Zombler's win as they both finished the two-map series with over 50 kills.
